
To ensure the safety of all and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, all individuals, purses, bags and similar receptacles will be subject to search and inspection prior to entry into facility. Failure to comply with George M. Steinbrenner Field management will result in denial of entry.
PROHIBITED ITEMS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Aerosol cans
- Backpacks, large bags and/or purses that exceed the 16” x 16” size limit
- Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades or hover boards
- Binocular cases and camera bags
- Cigarettes, vapes, e-cigarettes and all tobacco products are strictly prohibited
- Full size bats
- Folding chairs and/or lawn chairs
- Firearms, knives or weapons of any kind
- Fireworks
- Glass, plastic, aluminum bottles or cans
- Hard sided coolers
- Laptop computers and TV sets
- Laser pointers
- Masks or costumes
- Noisemakers that are not provided by the Yankees
- Outside food and/or drink
- Outside alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs or substances
- Pets – service animals permitted
- Projectiles (beach balls, frisbees, etc.)
- Seat cushion with pocket
- Signs larger than 11” x 17”
- Sticks/clubs, pom-poms with stick handles, poles, selfie sticks or extenders
- Strollers
- Umbrellas
- Unmanned aircraft systems and radio controlled aircraft/drones
- Video or audio recording equipment
- Visible obscene or interfere with and/or distract any event participants, other guest, audio/visual telecast or recording of the event
*The use of derogatory language will not be tolerated at this facility. There is no storage area for any items. No exceptions will be made. The Yankees reserve the right to change or modify this policy without notice.

Guest Code of Conduct
The New York Yankees’ storied history and tradition are a reflection of not only the manager, players, coaches and front-office staff, but also of Guests visiting George M. Steinbrenner Field for any New York Yankees, Tampa Tarpons or other baseball game or event.
The Yankees want all Guests to be able to enjoy the fun and excitement of Steinbrenner Field in a safe and comfortable environment.
Guests will be treated in a consistent, professional, and courteous manner by all George M. Steinbrenner Field Team Members* and the Yankees ask Guests for the same in return.
While on George M. Steinbrenner Field (GMS Field) property, Guests must at all times (a) comply with (i) this Guest Code of Conduct, (ii) the GMS Field Policies and Procedures, (iii) any other rules issued by the New York Yankees /Tampa Tarpons and/or any other applicable event organizer or governing body (e.g., Major League Baseball) with respect to a particular event and (iv) applicable law; and (b) follow the direction of GMS Field Team Members* and any public law enforcement official (“Law Enforcement Official”).
Guests who do not comply with the foregoing in any way face immediate ejection and revocation of season tickets and/or future ticket privileges without refund, and may also be in violation of applicable law, resulting in possible arrest and prosecution. Non-compliance shall be determined in the sole and absolute discretion of the Yankees or any Law Enforcement Official, as applicable.
Special rules, policies and procedures may also apply and be enforced at a specific event. GMS Field management reserves the right to change or modify any GMS Field rule, policy or procedure without notice.
To help maintain an enjoyable environment, the following guidelines have been established:
- Consume alcoholic beverages only in a responsible manner.
- Only sit in the seats for which they have tickets and present their tickets to GMS Field Team Members upon request.
- Comply with requests and directions from GMS Field Team Members.
- Restrict movement in the seating area during event action and cheer in a manner that does not interfere with fellow Guests’ enjoyment.
- The Yankees urge Guests to use caution when moving around GMS Field and while walking up and down the aisles and through the seating areas. Do not lean on, reach over, sit on, or stand near or place objects on railings or ledges.
- Guests should watch for live balls and bats leaving the field at all times.
- Guests bear all risks of inclement weather at GMS Field.
- Guests must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or consume alcohol. Proper identification is required of all Guests and must be presented, regardless of age, to purchase any alcoholic beverage.
- Attempting to use fraudulent identification, purchase alcohol for a minor or any Guest who has been denied alcohol service, and/or attempting to purchase or possessing alcohol as a minor will result in immediate ejection without refund and possible arrest and/or revocation of season tickets and/or future ticket privileges.
- If alcoholic beverages are available for sale at an event, there is a limit of two alcoholic beverages per eligible person per sale at concession stands on the concourses, and one beer per eligible person, per sale from vendors selling in the seating areas.
The following actions are prohibited:
- Any behavior (including derogatory language, speech or gesture) that is inappropriate and/or obscene, which shall include, but not be limited to any behavior that is illegal or that:
- is detrimental to the experience of other Guests or interferes with their enjoyment of the event;
- involves entry into any restricted or unauthorized area or for which a person does not have an appropriate ticket or credential;
- involves throwing any substance or object of any kind;
- fails to comply with directions from a GMS Field Team Member or any Law Enforcement Official or interferes with the work of a GMS Field Team Member or any Law Enforcement Official;
- is dangerous, violent, inciteful of violence, unruly, disruptive, offensive, indecent or obscene; or threatens, taunts, abuses, intimidates or harasses another person including, but not limited to on account of that person’s race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation or disability.
- Displaying inappropriate behavior toward GMS Team Members and/or fellow Guests
- Disrupting or interfering with the applicable event, including, but not limited to (a) if a sports event, interfering with balls in play, entering the playing field, or throwing, placing, dropping, tossing or hurling any substance or object onto the playing field or anywhere else in GMS Field, or (b) if a non-baseball event, interfering with the progression of the event, entering any restricted area (such as a stage), or placing, dropping, tossing or throwing any substance or object onto a restricted area (such as a stage) or anywhere else in GMS Field or attempting to do so.
- Fighting, taunting, or making threatening gestures
- Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes.
- Damaging or attempting to damage GMS Field and/or its property.
- Possessing or using illegal drugs
- Obstructing the view of fellow Guests with excessive standing
- Sitting or standing on seat backs, standing on seats or stepping over or on seats
- Standing or sitting in the walkways, aisles, ramps or stairways
- Placing cups or other items on walls and ledges
- Throwing or kicking objects
- Bringing prohibited items into the ballpark
Additionally, Guests must not throw baseballs back onto the field.
For the safety of every Guest, all persons specifically consent to and are subject to metal detector and physical pat-down inspections prior to and following entry. Any item or property that could affect the safety of GMS Field, its occupants or its property shall not be permitted into GMS Field. Any person that could affect the safety of GMS Field, its occupants or its properties shall be denied entry.
Guests are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests. The Yankees maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding any Guest who violates the George M. Steinbrenner Field Guest Code of Conduct. All Guests must comply with the Steinbrenner Field Code of Conduct. Any Guest who does not will be subject to ejection without refund and revocation of season tickets and/or future ticket privileges and may also be in violation of Tampa City ordinances, resulting in possible arrest and prosecution.
The Yankees strive for a championship team on and off the field and to be a superlative host for all events that occur at GMS Field and thank Guests in advance for complying with the Guest Code of Conduct. Take pride in George M. Steinbrenner Field and enjoy the event.
Steinbrenner Field Team Members are Available to Help Ensure the Best Possible Experience for Guests.
Guests are encouraged to report any security or guest relations issue to the nearest GMS Field Team Member.
*Please note that GMS Field Team Members are not necessarily employees of the Yankees. All those who work at GMS Field and provide services to Guests are referred to as “Team Members” even though they may not be employed by the Yankees.
